Proverbs 1:8(a) My child, listen when your father corrects you. 9 What you learn from them will crown you with grace and be a chain of honor around your neck.

Father- a male parent; the founder of a family

LOL, I was about to try and write this super deep post; and then I realized that this particular post just needs to be real. So here goes……………

A Note to Father’s:

Hello Dads, I hope that you are enjoying the festivities that celebrate you today for everything you do, day in and day out for your child(ren). Growing up my dad was on travel most of the time, he traveled all over the world making people laugh. He never missed the important things that mattered to my brother and I growing up. Then one day he said, I’m just going to take a break and spend time with my family. I thank him for doing that because it showed me how important we were to him.

Fathers the things that matter most to your child(ren) is you being there, the things you buy them are exciting but NOTHING tops, or beats you being there for them. Children want to know that their father loves them by showing them, telling them and showing them are two different things. A father’s presence should be felt. To all the father’s who are active in their child(ren) lives I commend you, continue to stay that way even until they are older and moved out.

To the father’s who are not present in your child(ren) lives for whatever reason, make a vow that you will do everything to be more present in their life. No matter what the situation is between you and the mother, a child needs their father.

To those who may have lost their father, I can’t tell you how to feel because I don’t know that feeling. However I can say that this time should be celebrated with the memories that your father left for you to have of him. Cherish the other father figures in your life, Pastor, mentor, grandfather, god-father, etc.

To the father figures of the world continue to be a light in the child(ren) lives you touch each and everyday. They need to see positivity in a world full of negativity, as well as see that someone cares enough about them to place an imprint on their life to be great leaders of the future.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!!
